Casting

Use "Screen Mirroring" or "Cast" from a Mobile Device to a Smart TV

Important Note: The casting methods listed below are not officially supported. However, they have been known to work for playing videos on a larger screen. We are unable to troubleshoot connectivity issues between your device and your TV—please use them at your own discretion. "Airplay" has been known to cause freezing and other playback issues.

Some smart devices like Apple and Android allow "casting" to a Smart TV. Casting enables content from a smart device’s screen to be displayed on another device, such as a Smart TV. For more details, see the links below:

Roku, Fire Stick, Apple TV, and other streaming stick devices ARE NOT supported and cannot be used on this website.

Video playback isn't working, my player shows a black screen

This generally occurs when the live stream venue has internet connectivity issues or has not yet started the live stream. Try refreshing the page in a few minutes.

Additional troubleshooting steps

  1. We do not support Smart TVs or Smart TV web browsers. If you experience issues watching on a Smart TV, try casting from a mobile device or use an HDMI cable to connect your computer to the TV.
  2. Check your internet speed (minimum 10 Mbps recommended). Test your speed here.
  3. Supported devices:
    • Mobile: iPads, iPhones, Android devices (last 4-5 years)
    • Desktop/Laptops: Windows PC, MacBook, Mac Desktop
Older devices may work but are not guaranteed for a smooth experience.
  4. Ensure you have a supported browser:
    • Google Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Windows - Microsoft Edge
    • Mac/iOS - Safari
  5. Disable ad-blockers or interfering browser extensions.
  6. Perform a "hard refresh": Ctrl-F5 (Windows) or Cmd-Shift-R (Mac).
  7. Close all browser windows, restart the browser, and try again.
  8. Clear your browser cache: Instructions here.
  9. If issues persist, it may be a live stream venue issue. Please try again later.

Video playback is very slow

Slow playback may be caused by poor internet connection. If using Wi-Fi, try the following:

  • Move your wireless router to a central location.
  • Place the router on an elevated surface (desk or bookshelf).
  • Remove clutter around the router to improve signal strength.
